Warframe is a team game, of course ember will rely on her teammates when the going gets tough, just like teammates can rely on ember stun locking and buffing all fire damage, ember is quite simply the best extermiate frame in the game, she can breeze thru t4 extermiate like its a walk in the park, while all enemies burn to dust all around you, then stun lock heavys the mow them down, so god damn easy, if played correctly ember with energy is untouchable. So yeah, she's in a pretty crappy position, just look at frost and excal and you'll know.

Then again frames like mesa faceroll 60 waves of T4D on her own(4.7k+ kills, handing out 68k damage hits in record speed, 97% of the dps by just holding down a button) with some buffs(mirage plus my frost), while Ember did get a kick in the lady parts with the U17 status shotgun nerfs for solo play at a bit higher levels. Well the 1h mark is a pain from my personal experience on solo T4 with Ember(40 minutes is fairly harmless compared to it, same as 60 minutes T3S), since next to everything will one hit you after 40 minutes in T4S.įor dps, we just like to challange ourself a bit with Ember, there could be no way how you could actually do ridiculous amounts of damage with the frame without even useing your 4 at all. Sooner rather than later you'll be playing the boring game of spamming the worst CC ability to keep yourself alive, accelerant WoF energy will be better spent on using the next accelerant, since energy won't be dropping as often to keep both, and WoF will be rendered at that point into CC, since it won't be doing any relevant dmg anymore.īasically the only way her abilities scale into that scenario is through burn procs, be it from fire blast, wof or fireball, and since procs are not reliable, you're better off spamming accelerant, which will 100% sure affect every enemy in the area and bypass line of sight. Her abilities scale terribly unless you are in a 4CP team.

Playing her for over half a year I don't even think I've reached her full potential. And I think that's what I like about Ember. With good cover she is capable of becoming a fountain of damage and I think I've barely scratched the surface of how much persistent damage she can put out. So she'll have a much better time if allies are popping the bubbles quickly, but I can usually keep myself safe up to an hour.
Her survival is based around stunlocking enemies and staying mobile. And so many other frames have personal shielding abilities to defend against nullifiers. Her damage potential goes way beyond the point where she can get one shot.
Honestly I would give more credence if people just said her survivability falls off.

But I know how to utilize status effects and put in work with Ember's flexibility. I didn't even get to play with 4xCP when I took Ember to victory in the Phoenix Escalation event via max range Accelerant. And I almost never get to play with 4xCP. I generally find when missions go long that Ember's damage shoots past allies because World on Fire is easy to apply to and is just so much extra damage on top of Accelerant boosted weapons. Before that the uptime on WoF isn't high because enemies die too quickly. Ember's damage doesn't even fully turn on until you go past 35 minutes when the persistent burn procs and WoF blasts start to be factored in.
Yes, Ember is mana hungry but if I'm going to late game you can bet I'll be supporting myself and my team with Large Shield and Energy Restores, enough to maintain Accelerant and World on Fire as much as I need to. You can also distribute burn procs yourself via Fireball or Fire Blast. WoF favors enemies who aren't already burning so it's really consistent with its burn distribution.
My experience her burn procs are quite reliable if you have +60% or better power strength.
